Chiropractors have a vital and important role in working with elderly people. They are involved in preventing disease and disability, treating current conditions, managing inpatient care and following up in the community. Elderly People may suffer from a large number of conditions that Chiropractors can help with.
- Older people have specialised needs and often have more than one medical condition at any one time, making the assessment and management of their problem more complicated, Our Chiropractors can assist
- Osteoarthritis and other arthritic conditions: Chiropractors can assess painful joints and give advice on how to maintain joint movement and strength. They can also help your relative with pain management, set up an activity schedule, show your relative how to walk correctly and advise on the use of walking aids.
- Falls: if your relative has had a fall, a Chiro can help them improve their muscle strength and balance. Musculoskeletal complaints: Chiro’s can treat lower back pain, sciatica, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, hip pain and pain from other joints, ligaments and muscles.
- Osteoporosis: if your relative suffers from weakened bones, exercise programmes to strengthen the back muscles and encourage weight-bearing and aerobic activities can promote improvements in bone density.
Exciting news: As we have recently launched Seniors Mornings, we are now reducing the Initial Chiropractic Consultations fee during Seniors days. Normally $110, our initial consultation will be just $60. After you’ve had your initial consultation & treatment, all following appointments will then be standard consultations at the discounted Seniors Morning rate of $60.
Health fund rebates are still eligible for sessions booked during Seniors day. Our chiropractors are also registered to provide services under Medicare EPC referrals as well as DVA.
